Senior Living
Independent and assisted living communities where residents experience privacy, safety, companionship and meaningful daily life.
A not-for-profit organisation advancing dignified senior living, skilled care, rehabilitation, education and research since 2009.
Travancore Foundation was established on 17 September 2009 by Mathew Chacko Mateethra, Jiji Philip and Philip K. John, united by a shared commitment to the dignity and well-being of senior citizens.
Today, the Foundation operates a growing network of senior living and care facilities across Kerala. Each community combines senior-friendly infrastructure, professional management and compassionate service with a strong connection to its local surroundings.
Our services support older adults across the entire continuum of care—from independent living and short stays to skilled nursing, rehabilitation, dementia support and palliative care.
Senior living is only one part of our work. Travancore Foundation brings together care, rehabilitation, learning, research and social responsibility.

TF Mithra extends scholarships, senior sponsorship, medical assistance and support to people facing economic hardship.
Every resident is different. Health history, mobility, preferences, routines, emotional needs and family circumstances all influence the right approach to care.
Travancore Foundation uses RAF-India, an assessment framework adapted from the U.S.-based Minimum Data Set and tested for cultural relevance, reliability and validity in India. A comprehensive assessment and care plan is prepared by an inter-professional team within 21 days of admission.
We see the person before the condition and protect each resident's privacy, choices and identity.
Care is delivered with patience, empathy and an understanding of the emotional journey of every family.
Qualified teams, structured protocols and ongoing learning support reliable and accountable care.
Open communication helps families remain informed, involved and confident in important decisions.
Travancore Education and Research Centre on Aging—TERCA—was established in 2019 to strengthen elder care through education, research and professional skill development.
Its simulation-based skill lab, developed in collaboration with Mercy University, New York, is the first of its kind within an assisted living facility in India. TERCA offers postgraduate diplomas, certificate programmes and training for direct care providers.
Recognition is meaningful because it reflects the work of the people who care for residents every day.
